The Boilermaker is an environmentally friendly water aerator designed to improve pond health with minimal water display. Its compact design and solar power provide efficient water circulation, boosting oxygen levels. This added oxygen benefits fish and helps break down organic matter at the pond bottom, reducing muck over time. The Boilermaker also creates strong surface currents to quickly clear algae and floating debris.
This unit operates during the day, activating with sunlight. It runs at varying speeds depending on light conditions and automatically turns off at night. The solar PV array panels adjust water flow based on sunlight, eliminating the need for expensive, high-maintenance batteries often required by other solar aerators. The motor is constructed from stainless steel and is oil-free for exceptional durability and low maintenance.
Beyond aeration, the Boilermaker works effectively as a pond de-icer in winter. Like all Scott Aerator Company products, it's built to avoid costly winterization. Simply leave the aerator in the water, disconnect the power, and it's ready for use when the ice melts. All components withstand sub-zero temperatures without damage.
This easy-to-install system includes the Boilermaker aerator, two solar panels with a frame, a disconnect box, a Fhoton™ drive solar inverter, and all necessary wiring. You will need to supply a vertical pole for the panels and frame, a concrete footing for the pole, and two anchor ropes with weights or tethers for the aerator.
The Boilermaker is proudly made in the USA and includes an unconditional 5-year motor warranty. It comes with 70 feet of heavy-duty, 12-gauge, submersible power cord, with longer lengths available.
The Boilermaker Solar Aerator works in both fresh and saltwater. Always disconnect the power source when swimmers are present.

Note: Fountains and surface aerators effectively aerate water up to about 6 feet deep.
Q: What horsepower should I choose for my fountain?
A: Horsepower indicates motor size and affects spray pattern size. Ensure your pond is deep enough and the spray won't go beyond the pond edges, regardless of horsepower. Our fountains are best for ponds a quarter acre or larger (depending on shape). Consider your budget and desired size when selecting horsepower.
Q: Should I hire someone to install my fountain?
A: If you need a power source installed by the pond, a licensed electrician should do this. Our fountains are relatively simple to install once the power source is ready. Many customers install their own fountains to save money, but consider your available resources.
Q: Which is better for me: 110-120V or 210-240V?
A: 210 to 240 volts is generally better if the power source is over 70 feet from the main breaker. Ensure your power source can handle the higher voltage for consistent operation. Using lower voltage too far from the breaker may result in inconsistent performance. Contact us with any questions.
Q: Are lights included in the price?
A: No, lights are not included by default. You can order them with your fountain or add them later. Attaching them to the floating unit is simple and a worthwhile addition.
Q: What factors determine the price of the power cord?
A: Material costs are a key factor. Power cords for fountains vary from 14-gauge copper or stainless steel wire to 4-gauge, depending on fountain size and cord length.
Q: Is it acceptable to leave my fountain in the water during winter?
A: Scott Aerator Fountains can remain in the water throughout winter. You can run them continuously or turn them off completely. They will be ready to use once the ice thaws.

When will I know my order has shipped?

If an item is backordered or unavailable, we void the pre-authorization and notify you via email. When will my order ship?
If your order is in stock and charges are processed, it ships within 2-5 business days. Cancellations of Custom Orders
Custom or made-to-order products cannot be canceled or refunded as they are produced specifically for your order. Brands with custom orders include Outdoor Plus, Fire By Design, Fireplaces, Etc. These units are made to your specifications or created upon ordering. Production starts once your order is placed. Your warranty guarantees a fully functional product. If you are unsure if your order is custom, please contact us.
All sales are final for custom-made and made-to-order products.
Refunds and Returns
You may exchange your product if needed. The customer is responsible for shipping costs for returns and exchanges.
Not all orders are eligible for return once shipped. We order directly from the manufacturer, and if the manufacturer doesn't allow returns, we cannot offer a return. This varies by product; please contact us for specific information on your brand and/or product.
Due to rising LTL/freight shipping costs, outright returns will have a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping costs. If you are replacing the product with another, we may help with some costs depending on the product.
